Trend Micro Deep Security Certification Practice Test

The correct answer is that DSA (Deep Security Agent) self-protection can prevent unauthorized software modifications. DSA self-protection is designed to safeguard the integrity of the Deep Security Agent itself and the security policies it enforces. This functionality ensures that only authorized users and applications can make changes to the agent's operation or security settings, thus mitigating the risk of malware or other unauthorized entities altering the software or disabling security controls.

This capability is critical in maintaining a robust security posture, as it helps to ensure that the endpoint remains protected against potential threats that could exploit vulnerabilities in the agent or alter its configurations.

The other options present scenarios that are not addressed directly by DSA self-protection. While changes to network settings, data loss during updates, and overwritten local CLI settings are valid concerns in a broader security context, they do not directly pertain to the specific protections instituted by DSA self-protection. The focus of this feature is primarily on maintaining the integrity of the Deep Security Agent itself and preventing unauthorized alterations to its operation.
